The South Australian Comfort Care Innovation Project (SACCIP)
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people face unique barriers when it comes to accessing culturally safe Comfort Care. They deserve Comfort Care that respects their culture, dignity, connection and, their choices.
To improve Comfort Care access, NATSIPCA is supported by the Department for Health and Wellbeing through SACCIP – to implement and co-design Comfort Care education, grow awareness and plan and strengthen culturally responsive, healing-informed Comfort Care, across metropolitan and country South Australia.
We’ll engage in first yarns and sharing knowledge sessions, while encouraging all our partners, to shape and improve their ways of working.
We listen first, work locally and then build capacity for Comfort Care journeys which respect culture, family and choice.
We’re walking alongside communities and services across metropolitan, peri-urban and rural South Australia to improve access to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, through community visits, education and partnering workshops…
